Berlin Techno label ‘Lebensfreude Records’ celebrates 15 years of lust for life with a very special release and tour
To commemorate 15 wild years of ‘lust for life’ (= Lebensfreude) and crazy parties, the Berlin label will put out the best hidden gems of its history, one for each year.
“The Lost Dub Plates: The B-Sides Of 15 Years Of Lebensfreude Records” will bring back rare and timeless B-sides from the Berlin underground that only DJ connoisseurs will have heard of. Additionally, this release is also indispensable for understanding the true Berlin Techno underground and what it really was like before everyone had a smart phone.
The 2 label heads Gunne & Zuckermann will personally go touring together to celebrate the spirit of the original Berlin rave nights, and days - a rare occasion to see them perform their (in)famous freestyle Back2Back which will shake Berlin clubs, South American Techno basements, and Asian party spots to the rhythm of the true sound of Techno - ‘lust for life’ full-on!

Zuckermann produces electronic music with an experimental approach and a serious attitude. His DJ-sets reflect his work as a producer. They surprise and go beyond the obvious.His appearances include Boiler Room and he plays at some famous and infamous clubs and festivals, these days mostly in China where he lives but also in throughout Asia and occasionally in Berlin. He also is co-running Lebensfreude Records and Destroy All Monsters in Berlin.

■RINTARO (TAN-SHIN-ON)
東京を拠点にするDJ。渋⾕のKOARA の第4 ⾦曜、⾳好きの為のハウス・テクノのパーティ”探⼼⾳”を世代を超えたDJ 達で⻑年開催中。専⾨のオンラインショップ”Clockface Modular”を⽴ち上げるなどモジュラーシンセのスペシャリストでもあり、近年は⾃分のDJ の拡張とも⾔えるような即興性の⾼いライブセットも⾏っている。Satoshi Tomiie とのジャムセッションによるハウストラックを、Tomiie ⾃⾝のAbstract Architecture とパリYoyaku 傘下YoY からEP として2019 年にリリース。

■ Ryoma Sasaki (Transit Records Kyoto)
Ryoma is a track maker and DJ who is well known in the Japanese underground. He started his career as a musician in the early 90’s. He has had a lot of experience in a variety of underground bands as a guitarist and vocalist. He then started to participate in the club music scene playing live and DJing, and was nominated as a finalist of the Roland Groove Competition in 2000. He currently plays an activepart in the Kansai scene, playing live and DJing in Kyoto and Osaka,
and organizing the locally famous event Undermine at Kyoto’s legendary Club Metro. His strong livesets have an excellent reputation and he has played with prolific domestic and international artists including Juan Atkins aka Model 500, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Terrence Parker, Laurent Garnier, Stefan Goldmann, Andy Vaz, Gunne&Zuckermann, DJ3000, Rennie Foster, Hiroshi Watanabe aka Kaito(Kompakt/Transmat), , Bee Lincoln and many more. In 2009 he
started to run his own record shop “Transit Records Kyoto” and as of next year started to run his own label, Transit Records. The first release was Detroit legend Terrence Parker’s “Beautiful Life” 12” with remixes by myself (Ryoma Sasaki) and another Kyoto artist, DJ Itoi. And second release was the own title "Transit EP" including a remix of his track by Tagträumer² (Black Fox Music/Rauschzeit). After it, He released Stefan Goldmann's brilliant track "Empty Suit" as the 3rd release. The 4th release was the coupling EP with Hiroshi Watanabe(Kompakt/Transmat) and 5th release was the coupling EP with Bee Lincoln. Now the label is preparing Remix EP of Ryoma's work for the 8th vinyl release.
Until now, he did the Germany tour 10 times, and started Austria tour in the last year: played at many clubs: Tresor. Berlin, Wilde Renate, Golden Gate, Chalet, Cassiopeia, ipse.Berlin, Molox Club, Mikz, Crack Bellmer, Silvergold, Café Koz, Konfuzius Franz, Kraniche Bei Den Elbbruecken, Kurzbar, Kaprowbar, Villa Nachttanz, Rhiz (Vienna) , Schlot (Linz), etc...

■Ouchi-S
Ouchi-S is a DJ who performs mainly in Kyoto and Osaka.
He started his career as Funk DJ in 2010, playing mainly funk,soul and jazz music of the 60's 70's. He participated in a Kyoto’s prominent deep funk party『FUNK78』at that time.
As he advanced in DJ’ing, he made a commitment to build his career by playing house music like detroit house, deep house and tech house.
He also loves the vinyl and most of the time pilots turntables, delivering a sound which boldly expresses his funkness.
Currently he is playing in an underground techno/house party『Connected Underground』,『Deep Underground』,『yelltail』, all held in "Kyoto Metro" that is legendary night club in this historical city.
In 2018, he released his own mix tape"inspired by there".

■DJ PINCH (HEAVY FUNK SYSTEM)
日本を代表するFUNKマスターの1人であり、プロアマ問わず国内外に数多くの支持者をもつFUNK DJ。1988年頃活動を開始。JAZZ〜SOULからHIPHOPまで全てのBLACK MUSICに精通していて独自の解釈なFUNK MUSICをプレイする。近年はロカ、ジャンプ・ブルーズ等もプレイ。映画「コフィー」のパンフレットにROY AYERSのディスコ・グラフィーの執筆やオーサカ=モノレールの2ndアルバムのレコーディングにサウンド・アドバイザーとして参加。2003年、中田亮（オオサカ＝モノレール）とともにコンパイルした「MESSAGE　FROM WEST　-LUV N' HAIGHT COLLECTION」(UBIQUITY/LUV N’ HAIGHT)、2008年、ライムスターのDJ JINと選曲したJAZZMAN音源のベストオブファンクコンピレーション「GONNA HAVE A FUNCKY FUNCKY PARTY」をリリース。共に大きな反響をよび、大型CD店でも売り切れ続出となった。また盟友オーサカ=モノレールの4thアルバムは、彼等がレギュラー出演していたHFSに於けるライブ盤である。ジャンルを超えて聴く者を圧倒する筆舌尽くしがたいプレイを是非体験してほしい。

今年で21年目を迎える老舗レコード・ショップ"COMPUFUNK RECORDS"(コンピューファンク　レコーズ)主宰。DJ LOVEGOD名義で1990年代よりDJとして活動し様々なPatyをオーガナイズ、出演。楽曲も国内レーベルの Sound-Channel、 Grasswax、 Jet Set 、等への提供や、デトロイト"DJ 3000" が主催する MOTECH から4タイトルをデジタル・リリース。同レーベルのコンピレーション・アルバム"Broken Research 1 & 2"にも収録。また、オリジナル & DJ DEX (Underground Resistance061) Remixを含COMPUFUNKヴァイナル・レーベルを始動。レーベル第２弾として、Mark Flash(Underground Resistance078)Remixを収録した"A.I.SOUL EP"をリリース。WESSUN (EX. 土俵ORIZIN) 主宰レーベル"Nu Ance Records"第２弾にも１曲参加。COMPUFUNKヴァイナル・レーベル第３、４弾リリース予定など精力的に活動中。

■D.J. Fulltono (Booty Tune)
DJ／トラックメイカー。1996年京都にてDJ開始。その当時はミニマルテクノを主体としていたが、その中でもシカゴハウス・ゲットーハウスに惹かれ、2000年を境にシカゴ・ジューク、デトロイトのゲットーテック・エレクトロを主としたスタイルにシフトする。
2008年にレーベル〈Booty Tune〉を開始。国内初のジューク/フットワークのレーベルとして、国内外のアーティストをリリース。ベースミュージックの祭典〈Outlook Festival Japan Launch Party〉にBooty Tune Crewとしてサウンドクラッシュに参戦しレーベルを全国へアピール。DJ活動と並行し、タワーレコードの音楽情報サイト〈Mikiki〉への連載や、CDライナーノーツへの執筆。Planet MuやHyperdubの日本版オフィシャル・プロモ・ミックスCDを手がけるなど、日本ではマイナージャンルであったジューク・フットワークを普及するための活動を行う。2014年に自身のレーベルから発表したミニマルを前面に押し出したジュークEP 『My Mind Beats Vol.01』がUSの〈Orange Milk〉にライセンスされ、USの音楽メディア『Rolling Stone』誌の “20 Best EDM and Electronic Albums of 2015” に選出された。
2016年ポーランドで開催されたUnsound Festivalに出演。同年のUSツアーでは、ロサンゼルスの老舗パーティー〈Low End Theory〉に出演他、長年の目標であったシカゴでのDJを果たす。現在のプレイスタイルは、ジューク・フットワークを、自身のルーツであるミニマルテクノ的な感性でミックスする独自のスタイルを追求している。

90年代初頭より本格的に音楽活動を開始。現在、主に、Live PA/Djとして活動中。 2007年、 カナダのレーベル・Dirty Worksより、チャートで上位を獲得し、長期にわたってチャート・イン するロングラン・ヒットを記録したアルバム"Calling of Amon"をリリース。そして、その後も コンスタントに楽曲をリリースし、2011年よりVinyl レーベル・Transit Records Kyotoをス タート。ファースト・リリースとして、デトロイトのレジェンドDJの一人、Terrrence Parkerの 作品を、2013年にはレーベルの第2弾として、自身の作品"Transit EP" (Tagtrumer Remix収 録)(TR-001)をリリースした。2015年には、Hiroshi Watanabe氏とのカップリングEP "The Bridge of Sounds EP"(TR-003)、2016年には、ベルリンのアーティストBee Lincolnとともに"Transition EP"(TR-004)、2017年6月、ベルリンの名門レーベルLebensfreudeのGunneとZuckermannのリミックスを収録した"Without End Hour EP(TR-005)"をリリースした。
2011年から現在に至るまで、計9回のドイツでのDJツアーを行い、テクノ・ミニマル系最高峰ク ラブのTresor. Berlinをはじめ、Wilde Renate、GoldenGate、Cookies、Ipse Berlin, Chalet等々、ベ ルリンの主要クラブに出演の他、フランクフルト、ハンブルグ、マンハイム等のクラブ、ハイデルベルク郊外の千人規模の山頂でのフェス等、幅広く出演している。さらに、本年は、オーストリアのウィーンとグラーツでも公演した。こういった日本とドイツでの活動を通じ、ドイツのラジオ局に注目され、2014 年、南西ドイツ放送(Sdwestfunk)の番組で、自身とTransit Records Kyotoが取り上げられ 約30分の番組として放送された。
本年1月、名門レーベルTrenton Records主宰ReynoldのRemixを収録した"The Phase at Midnight EP"(TR-006)をリリース。2000 and Oneをはじめとした著名アーティストから高い評価を得ている。

■BODIL (Node/Contakt)
様々なユニットを経て、2003年より関西を中心に活動を開始。テクノ、ハードミニマルのサウンドにアナログシンセ、ヴォーカル、メタルパーカッション等のライブパフォーマンスをおこない話題を集めてきたが、2014年よりシンセ・ニューウェイヴをコンセプトにキーボディストのサポートメンバーを加え、完全ヴォーカルスタイルの新生BODILとして活動を行っている。
昨年7月、LIQUIDROOM13周年で電気グルーヴのオープニングアクトを務め話題を呼ぶ。

■909state (AcidWorx)
2009年 Maltine Records、vol.4 recordsより「909state」としてデビュー。 Andreas Dorau、Hardfloor来日公演のサポートアクト、「Re:animation」、「KYOTO FESTIVAL OF MODULAR」、花澤香菜公式イベント「KANAight」など、各地でライブ活動も行う。ファッションブランド「GLAD NEWS」のプロモーション映像への楽曲提供や、リミキサーとしてHiroshi Watanabe、Cristian Vogel、galcid、Shin Nishimura、dj newtown、ikkubaru、ゆnovation、パソコン音楽クラブ、佐伯誠之助など国内外多数の公式リミックスを手掛けている。近年はオーストラリアのAcidWorxから作品をリリース。国内ではDJ EMMAプロデュースのプロジェクト「AcidCity」に参加。今後は秋葉原重工、Newmasterpieceから作品リリース予定。

■Polyshaft (moddict)
大阪在住のトラックメイカーでありモジュラーシンセ開発者。ファンキーなグルーヴや広義なアシッド感を探求。2013年Tracer Recordsからの初リリース以来、Acidworx、Electrax Japan、Damolh Recordsなど国内外のレーベルからリリースを重ねる。2017年からモジュラーシンセに没頭し、DIYや基板・回路設計などチャレンジ領域が急拡大。ビルダーとしてDIYモジュールの提供、2018年3月にモジュラーブランド「moddict」を立ち上げ「micro elements」を発表。島村楽器での販売を開始し発展を続ける。一楽儀光氏主催のGIGAMODULARなどライヴも精力的に実施。現在はビデオシンセに目覚め、モジュラー＋Machinedrum＋ビデオシンセのオーディオ/ビジュアルライヴを展開する。

■Ryoma Sasaki (Transit Rec. Kyoto)
Ryoma is a track maker and DJ who is well known in the Japanese underground. He started his career as a musician in the early 90’s. He has had a lot of experience in a variety of underground bands as a guitarist and vocalist. He then started to participate in the club music scene playing live and DJing, and was nominated as a finalist of the Roland Groove Competition in 2000. He currently plays an active part in the Kansai scene, playing live and DJing in Kyoto and Osaka, and organizing the locally famous event Undermine at Kyoto’s legendary Club Metro. His strong livesets have an excellent reputation and he has played with prolific domestic and international artists including Juan Atkins aka Model 500, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Terrence Parker, Laurent Garnier, Stefan Goldmann, Andy Vaz, Gunne&Zuckermann, DJ3000, Rennie Foster, Hiroshi Watanabe aka Kaito(Kompakt/Transmat), , Bee Lincoln and many more. In 2009 he started to run his own record shop “Transit Records Kyoto” and as of next year started to run his own label, Transit Records. The first release was Detroit legend Terrence Parker’s “Beautiful Life” 12” with remixes by myself (Ryoma Sasaki) and another Kyoto artist, DJ Itoi. And second release was the own title "Transit EP" including a remix of his track by Tagträumer² (Black Fox Music/Rauschzeit). After it, He released Stefan Goldmann's brilliant track "Empty Suit" as the 3rd release. The 4th release was the coupling EP with Hiroshi Watanabe(Kompakt/Transmat) and 5th release was the coupling EP with Bee Lincoln. Now the label is preparing for 6th vinyl release including Gunne, Zuckermann's remixes, it will be out in spring.
Until now, he did the Germany tour 9 times and Austria tour in this year, played at many clubs, Tresor. Berlin, Wilde Renate, Golden Gate, Chalet, Cassiopeia, ipse.Berlin, Molox, Club, Mikz, Crack Bellmer, Silvergold, Café Koz, Konfuzius Franz, Kraniche Bei Den Elbbruecken, Kurzbar, Villa Nachttanz, Rhiz (Vienna) etc...
